:Electric Wizard::REVIEW OF US TOUR 2001:

Electric Wizard/Warhorse
Denver, CO-March 26, 2001

by Snowsurfer

Warhorse : Jesus H. Christ on a stick these guys kill! I agree with everyone who said they need a better producer on their next album though. I was not even into this band after hearing them on cd, but live they were the cat's pajamas. They opened the show and had such a great response they played the longest....over an hour. Great doom musicians and VERY cool cats to chat with.

Electric Wizard : I have lots of friends who have sworn by this band for years, and to be honest, I (before this show) liked them, but never thought they were 'all that'. After seeing them live, I am a convert. They opened with Supercoven and that was all it took. The vibe in the 15th St. Tavern was great and people were going off in their own space/world. They played a very tight set and sounded great! My only compliant was since Warhorse played so long Wiz only played for about 40 minutes. But still, those 40 minutes I will remember for a very long time. Anyway, a great lineup, a great turn out, and a great time. I love metal.
